The name Salesian University Institutions stands for all the study centres like the colleges, or centres for higher studies that are guided and administrated by the Salesian Congregation (the Salesians of St. John Bosco) around the world: 30 centres present in 18 American, Asian and European countries. IUS does not include all the other university academic salesian centres that are specifically meant for the ecclesiastical formation (philosophy and theology) of the members of the Salesian
Rome (Italy), July 10 - To bring to birth "together" - the General Council, Provincials, and all those involved in Universities - a common (synergistic) program involving all Salesian University Level Institutions (IUS) for the next three years (up to 2001), has been the first invitation made by Fr. Carlos Garulo, Delegate of
the Rector Major for the IUS, to all participants
of the International Meeting.
